There is some debate among prospective and existing homeowners about the cost of residential solar power. Most feel a residential solar power system is too expensive for an average homeowner. And they also share the same feeling that, in earnest, solar power is a green energy solution and can combat global warming. However the cost seems to thwart any thought of having solar power for residential use. A few that know about do-it-yourself systems seem to be dragged into the notion that DIY solar power products are a fraud and a scam. As a word of caution, due diligence must be exercised before anyone can deem anything a scam or fraud because my failures are not necessarily your failures. Some most of the homeowners seem to be misled into believing that residential solar is expensive and it cannot be built from scratch as a DIY project.
Hidden Truth about Residential Solar Power DIY Products
Have you ever been scammed by these residential solar power that are all over the internet? I hope you don’t look at it that way even if you were not able to build that DIY solar panel for under $ 200 that the sales page promised you! What else did you learn that could help you become a solar expert? (Unless of course all you wanted was to build a diy solar for less than $ 200!) However I don’t that is the only motive to buy a DIY product – to build a solar power system inexpensively – but also learn other issues involved with installing and using solar power like wiring, determining how big a system you need, establishing how much power you consume and more. Most, if not all, these DIY products come equipped with this information that you can learn for cheap rather than paying an expert or a professional installer to carry out these things for you.
Do It Yourself Residential Solar Power
No 2 residential solar power systems are the same or equal especially if they were designed and built to meet the energy demands of a household. It is almost impossible to find 2 households that use the same amount of power the same way. Some households might use more power on heating water, swimming pool or for ventilation. Some might have a lot electrical appliances or use appliances that are not energy efficient.
Further, DIY products can also give you an idea of what to look for when you go shopping since some companies manufacture residential solar power kits for easy installation. You can install these on existing structures or new buildings. There are also tiles that you can use for roofing on a new house or when renovating your house. Being aware of these possibilities puts you in a favorable position to choose or design your own system.
