There are many people who are puzzled with the existence of the Universe; there are so many questions that are not yet fully explained or answered generally about cosmology.
It is wondering how big is the universe, how it was formed and where did it came from. There are many questions about cosmology that still await to be answered. The universe was made up of stars, planets, moons, asteroids and millions of galaxies. The entire universe is vast and imaginable; maybe no one really knows How Big is the Universe and the information about cosmology still asked by many. The Universe was described as an empty space and this space curves around itself.
There are many theories that explain the beginning of the universe; these also explains many information about cosmology in general. This theories will give us the idea of How Big is the Universe is.
One of these theories is the Big Bang theory. This theory explains that the universe came from a huge explosion.
It was estimated that about 15 billion years ago, the universe was a giant atom which was tightly pack and eventually exploded. Because of the explosion, the materials that made up the universe came up. The gas and the dust formed in space and eventually condensed into galaxies.
The galaxies were brought currently to its present locations due to the forced of the explosion. The scientist supports this theory with the detection of a certain type of radio waves through out the space. They have said that this particular radio wave can only be produced by a big explosion from the past which they called as the big bang. The big bang theory somehow explains how big is the universe and how it was formed.
Other idea that supports this theory is the observation of the scientist which shows that the galaxies in the universe are still moving out, such like particles from an explosion.
The Steady State theory is another theory concerning the existence of the universe; it also tries to answer some puzzles about cosmology. The steady state theory state that the universe is not expanding as what the big bang theory tries to explain. This theory believes that the entire universe remains at all time and the same everywhere. It further believes that the universe is in constant size and uniform throughout.
The idea of the steady state theory state that the entire universe undergoes evolutionary processes, in stars and galaxies that will change with age, but not as a whole as the entire universe.
Another theory is the Pulsating theory. This theory believes that the stars as they are constantly gave of heat light and radiation; could be burned-out or will collapse and turn into black holes until such time that the energy in space will fade.
According to the pulsating theory, this will be the cause of the death of the universe. They think that the universe will come to an end in the future but a big bang will start the universe again.
The Universe is so vast that the question How Big is the Universe is maybe still difficult to answer as well as the many mysteries about cosmology remains question to many. The information about cosmology continue to develop with the development of mans technological capability.

Science Documentary: Big Bang, Inflation, Multiverse, a Documentary on Cosmology
The Big Bang happened 13.7 billion years ago, but we do not know
what or why it happened. So far we can only speculate, but we do know that the Big Bang gave us all the ingredients that make up our universe. All the energy and matter that exists in our universe was created during the Big Bang.
Cosmology is the study of the origin of the universe and the way in which it evolves over time. Since the speed of light is a constant, this helps us to study the universe. When we look at stars and galaxies through a telescope, we can determine their age by measuring the time it takes for their light to reach our eyes. This measurement of time is light years.
Studying cosmology has provided us a concise picture of the universe from its origin in the Big Bang all the way up to today. But there are several questions that we have yet been able to answer. The first question asked is whether there was anything before the Big Bang. Did space and time exist prior? Another question is what is Dark matter. Dark matter is abundant in the universe. In fact, there is more Dark matter than regular matter in the universe. Dark matter interacts with gravity but not with light.
When scientists observe the expansion of the universe, they observe that the expansion was accelerating. This means that the galaxies were flying away from each other faster and faster. It is believed that the cause of this acceleration is due to Dark Energy.
Perhaps the biggest question is whether there is life somewhere else in the universe. Our technology to this point has not allowed us to discover life on other planets, but over the next several decades, scientists believe that this question may be answered.
Is our universe part of a multiverse? The standard Big Bang theory suggests that the universe began roughly 13.7 billion years ago from an incredibly hot dense state referred to as a singularity. But Inflationary theory suggests that the Big Bang was not the beginning of existence , but it was our own local Big Bang in a much greater multiverse which already existed.
The standard Big Bang theory does not describe what banged or why. It merely describes the aftermath of the bang. This means that the explosion of the Big Bang had already occurred before the theory begins.
Inflation is a theory that modifies the Big Bang theory, but is not intended to replace it. Although the Big Bang theory is a truly successful theory; inflation is the “bang” portion of the Big Bang theory.
